Google Bookmarks Button new!

This extension adds a new button in the Firefox toolbar to manage the Google Bookmarks.

You will need to have a Google Account and be signed in to use this extension.

The button didn't appear directly on your toolbar, you will need to add it manually going to View > Toolbars > Customize... and dragging the "Bookmarks" button into your toolbar.

[install latest version (0.1)]
(tested ONLY in Firefox 1.5)

What's new:
    04-18-06 Version 0.1:
  • First release so everything is new ;)
Features:
  • Add bookmarks by clicking in the star next to the "Bookmarks" button or clicking in the "Bookmarks" button and selecting "Bookmark this page".
  • When a page is on your bookmarks the star button is filled with yellow, to edit that bookmark click on the star or in "Edit this bookmark" in the menu.
  • Remove your bookmarks by clicking the "Manage bookmarks..." option in the "Bookmarks" menu.
  • Sort bookmarks by modification date or alphabetically.

Known bugs :

  • You'll need to refresh the bookmarks if you were not signed in your Google Account when Firefox started.
  • You'll need to refresh the bookmarks in order to see the changes when the bookmarks or labels are modified.

ToDo List:

  • Open a sign in window if the user isn't signed into his/her Google Account
  • Remove bookmarks, add/rename/remove labels, etc. directly from the extension like the IE button (if you know how to do that, please contact me)
  • Drag & drop bookmarks to assign them to labels (only possible if I can achieve the previous one)
  • Favicons on the bookmarks

Suggestions by users (not in the ToDo plans)

  • Open in Tabs all the bookmarks in a label
  • Group the unlabeled bookmarks under one folder
  • Synchronization with Firefox Bookmarks (not until Places comes to FF)

gTranslate

With gTranslate you can translate any text in a webpage just by selecting and right-clicking over it. The extension uses the Google translation services to translate the text.

  • 06-28-05 Version 0.1:
  • First release so everything is new ;)
Features:
  • Translates from:
English to German / German to English
English to Spanish / Spanish to English

ToDo List:

  • Allow changing the selected text for the translated text on input fields.
  • Language auto-detection based on lang attribute in other tags and not only in html.
  • Translate to Firefox defined language (if possible)
  • Translate title and alternative text from images.
  • Internationalization.
